This is a commonly overlooked aspect of personal computing. Your computer is most likely one of your more valuable possessions. It is important that you take care in protecting it. There are a few simple guidelines you can follow to protect your computer.
- Lock your door when ever you leave your home/office.
- Never leave a laptop unattended
- Lock your computer to your desk
- Have your screen automatically lock when you're away from your computer.
Remember, if someone has physical access to your computer, they can probably bypass any software based security that you have configured.
